Some orders can wait. Human safety cannot.
The ongoing conflict in the Middle East has affected our freight partners' ability to dispatch some shipments immediately to customers in the region. This update concerns affected SKDK SPORT orders; it does not mean every destination or shipping service in the Middle East is unavailable.
Our responsibility is to confirm what is possible for each shipment, communicate changes honestly and keep safety at the center of the decision.
What Should Customers Expect When a Shipment Is Affected?
For an affected order, SKDK SPORT confirms route availability with our freight partners before dispatch, keeps the customer informed, reviews safer alternatives and protects the goods while shipment is pending. Delivery estimates need to reflect the confirmed route and current operating conditions.
A route may be suspended or adjusted. Available cargo capacity may change. An earlier delivery estimate may need to be revised when the shipping plan changes. A previous quote or transit estimate alone cannot confirm that a shipment can depart today.
Why Shipping Status Must Be Checked by Route
The Middle East includes many destinations and transport connections. A disruption affecting one service does not establish the status of every other route. Availability needs to be checked for the actual destination, carrier, service and shipment.
Carrier advisories provide useful context. For example, Maersk's operational updates and Hapag-Lloyd's October 19, 2026 regional update describe conditions that vary across operations. These notices do not confirm a booking for an individual SKDK order; our freight partners must check the proposed shipment.
How We Handle Affected SKDK SPORT Orders
Confirm the Available Route Before Dispatch
We check the available service with our freight partners before arranging dispatch. We should not promise a departure or arrival date based on conditions we cannot control.
Keep Customers Informed
Affected customers need to understand whether an order is awaiting route confirmation, whether an alternative is being evaluated, and whether the delivery expectation has changed. We aim to communicate the confirmed information and distinguish it from estimates.
Evaluate Safer Alternatives
We review alternatives with our freight partners where available. A different route can change transit time, cost and handling requirements. Those implications need to be discussed before changing the shipment plan.
Protect Products While Dispatch Is Pending
When shipment cannot proceed, protecting the products remains part of our responsibility. Holding goods until a workable shipping option is confirmed is preferable to making a dispatch promise without an available route.
Update Delivery Expectations Honestly
We cannot guarantee when a suspended service will resume. We will continue monitoring available routes and supporting each affected shipment as responsibly as possible.
Questions About Middle East Shipment Delays
Are all SKDK SPORT shipments to the Middle East suspended?
This notice concerns some affected shipments. Availability must be checked individually with our freight partners for the destination and proposed service. It should not be read as a region-wide suspension.
Can an earlier delivery estimate still be used?
It needs to be reconfirmed if the route, capacity or service conditions have changed. Customers should plan around the latest confirmed shipment information and treat unconfirmed dates as estimates.
What information helps us check an affected order?
Please provide your order reference, delivery destination and required delivery window through your existing SKDK contact. These details help us identify the order and discuss the relevant route with our freight partners.
Can SKDK guarantee an alternative route or a service-resumption date?
No. Alternatives depend on current availability and the shipment's requirements. A resumption date should not be promised before it has been confirmed by the relevant service provider.
A Message to Our Customers and Partners
Supply-chain continuity matters to every business. But behind every delayed order are people, families, employees and communities living with consequences far greater than a late shipment.
To our customers and partners in the Middle East: thank you for your patience and understanding. We will continue working with our freight partners and keeping affected customers informed.
We hope normal logistics services can resume soon. More importantly, we hope for safety, stability and peace for everyone affected.
